In April Adobe came to Tasmania from the US! I was excited and felt extremely privileged to be involved in an international project that brought together a small group of photographers from all around the world to capture amazing images and road test the new beta version of Adobe Lightroom2. Accompanying the photographers were a bunch of Lightroom engineers and every night we received instruction on the software which we all adopted for our own workflows. As we found issues, they were ironed out by the engineers (or we were shown what we were doing wrong!)
I spent most of the two weeks in the ocean, one of my favourite places to be, and my task was to buddy Bill Stotzner (Lightroom quality engineer and good friend). We had the chance to dive some of the most amazing temperate water locations in Australia (down here in Tassie!) and now you can see why I felt so privileged!!
We took some great photographs both under water and on land and made them look even better with this amazing software. Bill and I had a blast on the adventure and we are working on a few joint projects which I will let you in on in the next newsletter. Stay tuned...
The Adobe Lightroom Adventure Tasmania will eventually turn into a book by Mikkel Aarland – who authored the Adobe Lightroom Adventure Iceland in 2006 (a great companion to Lightroom 1.4)

This software really does revolutionise RAW conversion and has a very user friendly interface. I think regardless of your level of experience in RAW conversion you should certainly have a peek at this!
