Vivid, the National Photography Festival, will be held for the first time in Canberra from 11 July to 12 October 2008. It will celebrate the vital role of photography in Australian life and history.
Over fifty National and ACT-based institutions are collaborating to present images, conferences and a range of events for photographers, photographic historians and everyone with an interest in photography.
The program of Festival events will include the projection of photographic images on to the exteriors of buildings, folio nights when Australia’s photographers will be able to show their work to buyers from Canberra’s collecting institutions, award ceremonies for both professional and amateur photographers, a trade show, master classes, seminars, talks and tours.
